Chef’s Night In

Thank you for your interest in providing a meal for our guests! Enjoying a home cooked meal is a welcome respite after a long day at the hospital. Feel free to contact us with questions at any time. We will be happy to schedule and help coordinate your group’s Chef’s Night In meal. Jessica.Cummings@brooksrehab.org

Suggested Menus:

Please submit your menu at the time of scheduling your dinner.
Please do your best to provide a healthy balanced meal for our guests (e.g. main dish, starch, vegetable, fruit, salad, dessert, etc.) Desserts are enjoyed by ALL!
Meal themes may be incorporated and create a fun atmosphere for the guests; such as picnic night, southern home cooking, ethnic cooking, or holiday themes.
Please bring food that is already prepared and ready to warm up. We have four ovens and stoves, as well as microwaves that can be used to warm up meals.

Serving:

Food is served buffet style.
All food must be served by members of your group.
Plastic food handler gloves MUST be worn when handling and serving food at Helen’s House. Gloves will be made available.
An approximate headcount will be given to you before your serving date.
We ask that your group arrive by 4:30 p.m. and food be ready for serving by 5:30 p.m. Arrival and serving times will vary depending on amount of preparation time needed. If food is prepared off-site, a later arrival time is acceptable

Set Up/Clean Up:

Helen’s House has pots, pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, paper napkins, salt and pepper. Your group is responsible for dinner clean up. Helen’s house staff will assist your group with set up, serving, and clean up as much as we can.
