At Brooks, each patient is cared for by a designated team of experts in stroke recovery led by Dr. Parag Shah, Stroke Medical Director and our Brooks Medical Group physicians. Our stroke treatment plans are designed to meet your individual recovery needs and goals. Our treatment plans help you progress from one care setting to the next using the latest state-of-the-art equipment and innovative, scientifically proven technologies. We use a wide range of tested and proven therapy technologies for stroke treatment including Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) of the extremities, functional taping, sensorimotor training with use of robotic and virtual reality devices, oral/thermal stimulation and surface electromyography for biofeedback for the treatment of dysphagia and specific interventions for other neurological symptoms of stroke. We also aim for continuous education of loved ones and caregivers to help improve participation in activities of daily living.
